Clinical Genomics Laboratory

Jill Hagenkord, MD is the medical director of Molecular Pathology and Clinical Genomics Laboratories at Creighton Medical Laboratories. Dr. Hagenkord obtained her MD from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1999. After residency training in pathology at UCSF and University of Iowa, she completed fellowships in Pathology/Oncology Informatics and Molecular Genetic Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh, making her uniquely trained to design, validate, and perform array-based testing in the clinical laboratory. Dr. Hagenkord has been performing virtual karyotyping of human tumors, hematologic and solid, since 2006. Click here for a copy of Dr. Hagenkord's curriculum vitae and publication list. The Clinical Genomics Laboratory is managed by Dr. Shera Kash. Dr. Kash obtained her PhD from Baylor College of Medicine in Molecular Genetics and did post-doctoral training at UCSF. Dr. Kash has 10 years of management experience in biotechnology and dozens of publications in peer reviewed journals.

The Clinical Genomics Laboratory uses Affymetrix™ SNP arrays for virtual karyotyping applications.
